Who it is for

Who is the white-label IoT system for?

The BIOS white-label IoT system is our IoT system – the BIOS-GSM-01 GSM/LTE gateway, the Microsoft Azure cloud and a web visualisation – which a partner offers under their own brand: with their logo and colours in the visualisation, their own domain and their logo printed on the module. We work with companies that want to add remote monitoring to their equipment and with companies that want to offer our solutions to their customers.

1. Equipment manufacturers (OEM)

Add remote monitoring and control to your product under your own brand – without building your own IoT team.

  • The whole stack from one supplier: hardware, Azure cloud and a web visualisation built for your equipment.
  • A DIN-rail gateway installed in your equipment’s control cabinet.
  • Mobile connectivity independent of your customer’s network, also via a private APN.
  • Service data from equipment working in the field.

2. Rental companies (generators, containerised boiler houses)

You see the operation of every unit at the hirer’s site, even where there is no internet.

  • Status, alarms and operating hours (if the controller provides them) of every unit in one visualisation.
  • Fewer site visits and a faster response to faults.
  • Operating history for billing and service planning.

3. Operators of distributed infrastructure and utility suppliers (LPG, LNG, gas stations, tanks, energy storage)

All sites in one visualisation.

  • Delivery planning based on the actual stock at the customer’s site.
  • E-mail alarms as standard and SMS via an SMS gateway.
  • History and charts of parameters from every site.

4. Service and maintenance companies

You learn about faults quickly.

  • Remote diagnosis and a site visit with the right parts.
  • A new remote monitoring service for your customers, under your brand.
  • The gateway uses its own mobile connectivity – no need to connect to the customer’s network.

5. Integrators, automation companies and distributors

A ready path from Modbus RTU devices to the cloud, without building your own platform.

  • In one offer: the BIOS-GSM-01 GSM/LTE gateway and the BIOS-IO LAN modules (IO-01, IO-02, IO-03).
  • Datasheets and technical support from the manufacturer.

Common concerns – and our answers

  • “There is no internet on site.” The gateway connects over the LTE/3G/2G mobile network with a microSIM card; no LAN is needed. An external antenna (SMA connector) is included.
  • “The customer won’t let us connect to their network.” They don’t have to – the gateway uses its own mobile connectivity.
  • “We have equipment from different brands.” We can read any controller with Modbus RTU; we help prepare the register map for each model.
  • “The controller has no Modbus.” You can connect a simple signal, e.g. running or fault, to the gateway’s digital input; it also counts pulses up to 3 kHz.
  • “We have no IoT expertise.” We take care of commissioning, configuration, the cloud and the visualisation – we provide full support.
  • “We don’t want to depend on someone else’s cloud.” Azure IoT Hub can be provided by us, or it can be your Azure cloud or your partner’s cloud.

You will find examples of end-customer applications on the IoT System page.

White-label and partnership model

White-label and partnership model: IoT under your own brand

White-label is one of the most important advantages of our system. Your customers see your brand, while we supply and maintain the technology: the gateway, the cloud and a web visualisation tailored to your equipment. You can offer the system together with your equipment or as a remote monitoring service.

What white-label includes

  • Web visualisation with your logo and in your colours.
  • Your own domain – your customers log in at your address.
  • Your logo printed on the module.

Two partnership paths

  • White-label IoT system: the whole stack under your brand, tailored to your equipment – for manufacturers, rental companies, operators, service companies and integrators.
  • Module distribution: you sell the BIOS-GSM-01 gateway and BIOS-IO modules to your customers. You receive technical documentation, manuals and declarations of conformity (for modules that have them), plus technical support from the manufacturer.

Technical training

We train partners’ technical teams in installing, commissioning and operating the system.

Pilot

We can run a pilot together with you on your equipment or at your customers’ sites.

End-customer support

We support your customers jointly: us and you.

Billing and SIM cards

We agree the billing model and SIM cards individually with each partner.

How we deploy

What does deployment with a partner look like?

  1. A conversation about your equipment and customers: we get to know your equipment, its controller and your customers’ needs.
  2. Selecting the hardware and the Modbus register map: we agree which data to read and which commands to send.
  3. Cloud and visualisation: we configure Azure IoT Hub (ours or yours) and prepare a web visualisation under your brand and for your equipment.
  4. Pilot and commissioning: together we run a pilot, help commission and configure the gateway at the first sites and train your technical team.
  5. Support: after deployment we support your customers jointly – you have one supplier for the whole system.

We deploy quickly because the gateway connects to the cloud over the mobile network – no LAN is needed on site.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about the white-label IoT system

Can I offer the IoT system under my own brand (white-label)?

Yes. The BIOS white-label IoT system is our system offered under your brand. White-label is one of the most important advantages of our system: your customers see your brand, while we supply the gateway, the cloud and the web visualisation.

What does the white-label IoT system consist of?

The BIOS-GSM-01 GSM/LTE gateway, the secure Microsoft Azure IoT Hub cloud and a web visualisation with alarms. The system works with PLCs, I/O modules and other devices communicating via Modbus RTU. More on the IoT System page.

Can my customers control devices from the visualisation?

Yes. Communication is two-way: write commands can be sent from the visualisation to Modbus RTU devices, and the gateway’s relay output can be controlled.

Does the equipment at the customer’s site need LAN or internet access?

No. The gateway connects to the cloud over the LTE/3G/2G mobile network, also via a private APN. The equipment must communicate via Modbus RTU (RS485).

Do I need my own Microsoft Azure cloud as a partner?

No. The Azure IoT Hub service can be provided by us, but it can also be your cloud or your partner’s cloud – we agree this during deployment.

How does billing with partners work and who provides the SIM cards?

We agree the billing model and SIM cards individually with each partner.

How quickly can an IoT system under my own brand be deployed?

Quickly – the gateway does not need a LAN on site, and we provide full support with commissioning and configuring the gateway, cloud and visualisation.

What alarm notifications do my customers receive?

E-mail notifications as standard and SMS via an SMS gateway. We are also preparing a dedicated app with push notifications.

Will the system work with a controller without Modbus RTU?

The BIOS-GSM-01 gateway supports Modbus RTU over RS485 (read and write). If the controller has Modbus RTU, integration comes down to the register map, which we help with. A simple signal without Modbus can be connected to the gateway’s digital input.

Is my customers’ device data secure?

The gateway sends data via MQTT with SSL encryption to Microsoft Azure IoT Hub, optionally via a private APN. The whole system runs in the secure Azure cloud.

How can I become a distributor of BIOS IoT modules?

Distributors of the BIOS-GSM-01 gateway and BIOS-IO modules receive technical documentation, manuals and declarations of conformity (for modules that have them), plus our technical support. Write to us and we will discuss working together.

What exactly does white-label cover: logo, domain, hardware?

A web visualisation with your logo and in your colours, your own domain and your logo printed on the module.

Do partners get technical training?

Yes. We run technical training for partners’ teams.

Can a partnership start with a pilot?

Yes. We can run a pilot together with you on your equipment or at your customers’ sites.

Who supports the partner’s end customers?

We support them jointly – us and you.
